Vipps is provided in all Norwegian cities. To add Vipps, simply add the payment method under the "Wallet" section of the app.

‍Why does Vipps want to charge me 400 kr?
When adding Vipps, you need to select a daily max amount that can be charged from your Vipps account to Ryde each day. You will not be charged for the max amount, and 400 kr is the default value. Selecting a max amount is simply a requirement from Vipps since you will be charged for all of your trips combined on a daily basis. You will only be charged for the trips you take so if you don't use Ryde, you will never be charged.

Why has Vipps has charged me for more than the cost of my trip?
When you use Vipps, you will be charged on a daily basis. That means that one payment may include multiple trips. You can verify this by checking your trip history in the app.
