Why was I charged before my first trip?

All new customers will be charged to verify a new account. The fee applies in all cities and exists to prevent misuse of the service. The paid amount (3€, 5€, 30kr or 50kr, depending on location) will be added to your account as Ryde Credits that will be used to pay for future trips.

Why was I charged when I had a Ryde Pass?

There could be a few reasons for why this happens!
‍

The Ryde Pass minutes have been used up.
A total of 60/75/100 minutes (depending on your location) may be used on a Day Pass, 200 minutes on a 14 day pass, or 750 minutes on a Monthly Pass. Once this limit has been reached, the Ryde Pass will be removed.

The Ryde Pass was used in a different city.
The Ryde Pass is only valid in the city where it was purchased, and will be unavailable in other cities.
‍
The trip was ended outside the operational area.
‍You may receive a fee if the trip is ended outside of the operational area, even if you have a Ryde Pass on your account.

Group Ryde.
‍The Ryde Pass will only apply for the first trip of a Group Ryde. All subsequent trips will be paid with credits, or the added payment method.
